DHL reach for summit at Glasshoughton

Logistics giant DHL has taken a 37,000 sq ft industrial unit at Summit Park, Glasshoughton by Junction 32 at the M62 in West Yorkshire for its UK pallet network services.

The leading international logistics company is leasing the new speculatively built warehouse from Wilson Bowden Developments on a ten year lease.

Owen Holder, industrial partner at the Leeds office of property consultancy and letting agents Knight Frank said: “This is a tremendous deal, which underlines the growing reputation of Glasshoughton as a premier distribution centre in Yorkshire. DHL is a world leader in its field, so this is a great coup for Glasshoughton.

“The renaissance of Glasshoughton, masterminded by civil engineers and developers Waystone, is one of the great success stories of the Yorkshire property world during the past decade. The old colliery is now a thriving mixed-use development which has created thousands of jobs and become a destination in itself,” he added.
