New hospital complete
The new £7.5m Diagnostic and Treatment Centre for Care UK Afrox Healthcare Ltd at Barlborough Links has recently opened for business.
The 2 storey building comprising consulting rooms, operating theatres, radiology, ward areas and X-Ray suites also has a small physio-gymnasium with associated plant rooms and ancillary facilities.
Bolsover Cruise Club
Work is finished on the new Bolsover Cruise Club at Barlborough Links and the building was opened in March 2005.
These premises comprise 13,850 sq ft of two storey offices for a telephone sales and travel agency centre with on site parking for 67 vehicles. The building is part brick and part clad and is located on a 1.1 acre site which allows for the potential to expand the offices as the company grows.
Gladman
Gladman’s 500,000sq ft warehouse is now complete and let to Tesco and the Business Quarter offices adjacent are almost finished and approximately 50% are already let.
Planning for Garden Park Investments and Waystone has now been granted for a new garden centre at Barlborough Links and the site has now been taken by Dobbies. Development is expected to take place during 2006.
Hotel
Construction of the £4,950,000 Tulip Hotel at Glasshoughton opposite the Xscape project is now completed. The building comprises a series of modules, 5 storeys high, which make up the main body of the building incorporating 119 bedrooms, a lounge, a breakfast area and bistro, a reception area and conference facilities.
Metro Station and footbridge
Work is now complete on the railway station at Glasshoughton. The design includes 97m platforms, innovative pedestrian ramps constructed in reinforced earth linked to the existing footbridge, integrated telecoms systems, Help Points and CCTV. The Rail Halt also benefits from 100 space car park and other passenger facilities.
Marrtree
Construction is now complete on the 2 single storey industrial buildings for Marrtree Ltd in Blue Ridge Park Glasshoughton. The 2,900 square metres development is valued at around £1,442,000.
Glasshoughton South
Waystone has reached agreement with UK Coal Ltd to promote the development of a 55 acre site adjacent to Waystone's existing Glasshoughton development.
Moto
Waystone has reached agreement with Moto to promote the development of 17 acres of land adjacent to J5 M18 and together with Speed Developments has submitted an application for a new link road serving Stainforth and Hatfield in addition to the development of the Hatfield Colliery site.
